The Sochi Dialogue publication received a certificate in the X All-Russian contest “University Book – 2024”.
From February 1 to June 28, 2024, the X All-Russian competition “University Book – 2024” was held on the basis of the Ural Federal University. The annual event is held to support and encourage publishing projects of higher education institutions.
There were 532 book titles in the competition for 2024, with 357 titles from university publishers. 99 publishing houses and author collectives took part to compete in 17 nominations and get a chance to win one of 127 awards. The contest was held in 37 cities in Russia, including cities in the Far East, Siberia, Ural, European part of Russia, as well as the Republic of Belarus.
According to the results of the competition, Olga Vyacheslavovna Pavlenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Russian State University of Humanities and Sciences, was awarded a certificate of honor in the nomination “Best Scientific Publication in Historical Sciences” for her monograph “Panslavism: Real and Imaginary: 1830-1860s”.
This two-volume book was published by the Russian-Austrian Public Forum “Sochi Dialogue” in December 2023 as part of the traditional publishing direction of the Forum's activities and presented at the Russian State Humanities University. The monograph is devoted to Panslavism in Austria of the past centuries and is intended for a wide range of researchers engaged in intellectual and diplomatic history of the 19th century, as well as the history of Russia, Austria and Russian-European relations in general. The initiative to publish the book is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two countries on the basis of historical heritage and cultural context.
