On 17 May 2023, the Russian-Austrian Public Forum "Sochi Dialogue" presented a virtual excursion "Russian way of life and Russian Izba(House)" at the Austrian school "Rusinka" (Klagenfurt, Austria).
One of the main objectives of the Russian-Austrian Forum "Sochi Dialogue" is to support compatriots in Austria, strengthening their connection with their native culture and language. As one of the key projects in this area, in 2022, the Forum produced a virtual excursion "Russian Life and Russian Izba (House)" based in the Losiny Ostrov National Park to be shown in educational institutions that teach Russian-speaking children in Austria.
The initiative was supported by the Austrian Friendship Society, and the first people to watch the film were pupils of the "Rusinka" school and students of the "Slavistics" department of the University of Klagenfurt.
The target audience of the project is children of compatriots living and studying in Austria, as well as a wide circle of those interested in Russian culture. The material promotes cultural relations with the Russian-speaking community in Austria and the spread of the Russian language.
At the beginning of June, the excursion can be seen in the school "Teremok" (Graz) and other educational institutions.
