The Russian-Austrian Public Forum "Sochi Dialogue" with the Alexander Pechersky Foundation completed the production of the documentary film "Liberators. The Forgotten Camps of the Ostmark".

The film is dedicated to the liberation of Austria from Fascism, assistance to Vienna in post-war reconstruction by the USSR. The film is a detailed presentation of the Vienna offensive action, which made it possible to liberate the "pearl of Europe" with minimal losses. Particular attention is paid to the topic of the preservation and restoration of the Vienna State Opera building, bridges, and other humanitarian aid provided by the Soviet Union.

The film premiered on November 25, 2021 on the federal channel "Star" and has aroused great response and interest among viewers.

The Russian-Austrian Public Forum "Sochi Dialogue" together with the Alexander Pechersky Foundation will organize a press conference to coincide with the release of this film. During the conference it is planned to discuss the film and its significance for Russian-Austrian relations. The event will be held on December 6, 2021 at 13:00 (Moscow time) at TASS.

The idea for the film and the work on the film will be covered by the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, co-chair of the Russian-Austrian Public Forum "Sochi Dialogue Andrey Fursenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to the Russian Federation Werner Almhofer, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Austria Dmitry Lyubinsky, Rector of the Russian State University for the Humanities Alexander Bezborodov, Co-Chairman of the Russian-Austrian Commission of Historians, member of the Coordination Committee of the Russian-Austrian Public Forum "Sochi Dialogue Stefan Karner, Co-Chairman of the Russian Historical Society, Co-Chairman of the Russian-Austrian Commission of Historians Alexander Chubarian, Chairman of the Board of the Alexander Pechersky Foundation Ilya Vasiliev and daughter of Marshal of the Soviet Union Natalya Koneva.
