On December 20, 2019, as part of the program of the Sochi Dialogue Civil Society Forum, a charity New Year's theatrical performance for children with hearing impairment was held in St. Petersburg. The event was held on the eve of the cross year 2020, the year of theater and literature of the two countries - Austria and Russia.

Children with hearing impairments became active participants in the theatrical performance – this concept contributed to the realization of their creative potential and socialization. At the end, the little artists received sweet gifts and useful accessories by MED-EL.

The special guest was the first secretary of the Austrian Embassy in Russia, Nicole Griezmeier, and the St. Petersburg star, Peter Zakharov, was also invited to meet with the children. According to the First Secretary of the Austrian Embassy, N. M. Griezmeier: "The event is a wonderful harbinger of the upcoming cross-year of theater and literature of Austria and Russia. In addition, it is an excellent example of successful and fruitful cooperation in the humanitarian and medical fields. Within the framework of such cooperation, various Austrian institutions and clinics have been conducting close scientific and practical work together with the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Ear, Throat, Nose and Speech for decades. »
