The Chairperson of the Federation Council awarded E. Heresh with the prize of the fourth Eurasian Women's Forum ‘Public Recognition’

Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko awarded Elisabeth Heresch, Austrian translator, publicist, author of books on Russian history and culture, with the “Public Recognition” prize of the Fourth Eurasian Women's Forum.

Valentina Matvienko, Chairperson of the Federation Council, took part in the award ceremony. The prize is established by the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum and is awarded to women for their contribution to the sustainable development of society, the struggle for peace, for active charitable and public activities. Valentina Matvienko noted that the award has become one of the symbols of the Eurasian Women's Forum. It is given to the most active women who have become an example for many people in the world. “We are proud that they are part of our Forum,” she said. According to the speaker, the award is given for real projects, promotion of Russian culture abroad, contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between different countries.

“I believe that as many people as possible should know about the successes and achievements of our women. Therefore, I propose to create on the website of the Eurasian Women's Forum a gallery of laureates of the ‘Public Recognition’ award, starting from the first Eurasian Women's Forum. And it will be a digital honour board,” Matvienko announced.
