Austria... When we say this word, such familiar images pop up in our head - Mozart, Zweig, Klimt, Schiele, the Vienna Secession - you can continue this list for a long time. Yes, Austria can rightly be called one of the cultural centers of Europe.
What everyone immediately thinks about is, certainly, music. Beethoven and Haydn playing alongside Mozart and Schubert. But Austria also made a huge contribution to the development of architecture and painting. In our course of lectures, we will reveal the diversity of Austrian culture.
Leading Russian art historians will help you to immerse yourself in the cultural world of Austria. Lala Kandaurova, a musician, journalist, and author of educational courses on music for adults and children, will give lectures on musical culture. The art and film critic Oleg Groznov will open you the world of modern Austrian cinema. The lecture hall "Synchronization" represented by Natalia Vostrikova, an art critic, teacher of the theory and history of fine arts, will tell you about outstanding artists. And at the end of the course, you will find a lecture dedicated to Sigmund Freud by Dmitry Skvortsov, candidate of philosophical sciences, dealing with the philosophy of cinema and the hermeneutics of the film language (carried out with the support of the lecture hall "Synchronization").
The cycle of lectures will open on April 18 with a lecture on the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Our meetings will be held weekly on Saturdays for several months. The entire series of lectures and additional materials will be posted on our portal and will be available for download.
