At the invitation of Austrian Ambassador to Moscow Johannes Aigner, on October 23, 2020, students of the educational program "Russia-Austria: History, Politics, Economy, Culture" visited the Austrian Embassy in Moscow. The meeting was also attended by the head of the directorate of the Russian-Austrian civil society forum "Sochi Dialogue" M. Matveeva and the first Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of RSUH O. Pavlenko.
Within the framework of this visit, Ambassador J.Aigner held a speech for the students. J. Aigner focused on the key stages of Austrian history and on the bilateral relations between Russia and Austria. He also told the students about the history of the Embassy building – the Mindovsky mansion, built in 1906.
O. Pavlenko thanked J. Aigner for the warm welcome and noted the importance of the meeting in the face of international challenges. In turn, the students asked J.Aigner a number of questions about the existing formats of cooperation between Russia and Austria, about the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the scientific field and increasing student mobility between our countries, as well as about the prospects for cooperation between Russia and Austria
At the end of the meeting, J. Aigner noted the high level of proficiency in the German language among the students.
